This Ganesh Chaturthi kids of Daund district and Sangli, enjoy affordable access to Digital Education

  • The CSC and SugarBox Networks partnership empowers children across 15 villages with English speaking courses
  • Team SugarBox reaches out to every household, explaining the availability of education

Pune, September 7th, 2022: In keeping with the spirit of Ganesh Chaturthi, SugarBox Networks is empowering 15 villages in the Pune – Daund and Sangli regions, with reliable and affordable access to Digital Education. Through the partnership with CSC, SugarBox has installed its patented technology solution at the CSC centres across villages, enabling the nearby pandals with access to digital content.

This Ganesh Chaturthi, SugarBox Networks is partnering with education content providers to fulfil the basic right to education with significant courses such as spoken English content, K-12 education, competitive exams, and vocational education in an affordable manner. Augmenting the reach of education, the company has deployed servers at the CSC centers, to enable high-speed streaming and downloading of educational content for children to learn. The downloaded content can be accessed by children, even in the comfort of their homes. This technological solution will offer students in rural India an experience to seamless access of quality educational content.

With the new-age learning solutions relying heavily on technology, lack of internet access has a paralyzing effect on the possibility to offer better education and growth prospects. The pandemic further marginalized children in rural India, as the villages often lack adequate infrastructure. Given this technological and last mile connectivity roadblock, SugarBox Networks aims to provide easier access to the digital world, making it an essential need across geographies. The fastest growing ‘Made in India’ hyperlocal cloud technology, SugarBox Networks, enables consumers to access digital information and services presently in over 250 gram panchayats across the states of Maharashtra, Haryana, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh.

“Celebrating Bappa’s arrival, the lord of wisdom and prosperity, presented us with an opportunity to remind everyone the importance of education, especially the need for digital education across our villages. CSC and SugarBox Networks are together bringing technology into these villages, to provide interactive learning solutions for children, thus empowering them to build a stronger future for a better livelihood. The idea behind this is to showcase limitless possibilities of a digitally connected world and empower the generation of tomorrow, with options to thrive in a digital-first world,” said Rohit Paranjpe, CEO & Co-founder, SugarBox Networks.

In order to make staying “digitally connected” in underserved and unserved areas a basic need, SugarBox is currently installing this Hyperlocal Edge Cloud Technology at highly populated centres like gram-panchayats, CSCs, and government schools. At the same time, creating an ecosystem that is sustainable and profitable for network partners and digital application services. CSCs and SugarBox Networks are together ushering in an equitable digital future, offering content and services such as OTT, D2C e-commerce, Fintech at zero data cost (for the consumers). SugarBox is also present in L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad (LTMRHL), Chennai Metro Railway Limited (CRML), Central Railways (Mumbai Suburban).
