Rare Assam tea sold for Rs. 1 / – lakh per kg
A 1 kg pack of Pabhojan Gold Tea, a rare type of tea from Golghat district of Assam, was sold at an auction in Jorhat for Rs. 1 / – lakh per kg. This type of tea is purchased by the brand Isha Tea from Assam.
This tea is dark yellow in color and has a unique taste. Bijit Sharma, CEO, Isha Tea, said, “This brand will enable our customers to enjoy a unique taste in Assam. Our customers are all over the world and they will know the value and taste of this brand. Rakhi Saikhia, owner of Pabhojan Organic Tea Estate, said, “We had planted this rare type of tea leaves in small quantities. And we didn’t think the price would set a historical record.
