Grand Success of Sydenham’s Management Conclave 2024

On 28th of September 2024, Sydenham College became a hub of innovation as the BMS Society organized the Management Conclave’24. This year’s event marked a major step forward, pushing the boundaries of management education and shaping the future of business leadership.
The day began with a lively inauguration ceremony, where Principal Shriniwas Dhure Sir officially opened the Management Conclave’24, following the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony.
The first guest speaker, Dr. Neil Sequeira, gave an insightful talk on the connection between leadership and emotional intelligence, through the lens of psychology. He encouraged everyone to step outside their comfort zones, stressing the importance of financial and emotional independence and resilience in achieving success.
A dynamic panel discussion followed, led by Mr. Mohammed Virani. The speakers addressed a variety of topics: Akshay Gurnani discussed the role of gratitude in leadership, Abhishek Daga shared his experiences as a luxury travel entrepreneur, and Kushal Lodha explained how finance and social media are interlinked. Suresh Verma provided insights on SEO and career transitions, while Sushovan Sarkar focused on marketing strategies in the FMCG sector. Lastly, Sameer Nanjangud spoke about the significance of regional diversity in global branding, and Mahesh Pattu emphasized strategic thinking for overcoming business challenges.
A highlight of the day was the keynote session with Abhishek Acharya, co-founder of Theka Coffee, where he shared his experience of appearing on Shark Tank and the determination needed to build a successful brand.
Dr. Radhakrishnan Pillai added depth to the event by sharing strategies from Chanakya Neeti, merging ancient wisdom with modern leadership. His powerful speech inspired everyone to take purposeful action. He was joined by Qudsia Virani Ma’am and Radhika Iyer Ma’am, who offered fresh perspectives on leadership, creating a rich and thoughtful conversation.
The event ended on an exciting note with interactive games like FinHousie, Financopoly, and Prestige Paragon. The day concluded with a closing ceremony, where the speakers were honored, and winners of the games were recognized. Lastly, Principal Shriniwas Dhure Sir praised the hard work and dedication of the BMS Society.
