The stock market is the best means of raising capital for entrepreneurs.
As on May 2022, 16 companies have raised a record Rs 40,311 crore through IPOs. LIC alone has raised Rs 20,500 crore from the capital market.
Of the 31 companies listed on the stock exchange, 21 made good returns on their debut. Shares of the remaining 19 companies are trading below the listing price.
Adani Wilmer’s stock returned 156 per cent after listing. Veranda Learning Solutions returned 65 per cent, Rainbow Children 9 per cent and Vedanta Fashions 8 per cent.
